I have been searching for inspiration. I had hoped for a while that it would fall into my lap, just wash over me like a refreshing mist in the Maui spring. But I forget. I am in Central Pennsylvania for now, and while it will be a finite period of time, and I actually am enjoying my time here, it is no Hawaii. It is the middle of the winter and my source of inspiration is a barren cornfield where my dog runs, and sometimes relieves herself. Not to slog cornfields in the winter; they have a desolate melancholy that can serve to innervate the craftless mind. But really, who wants a ring bearer pillow like a barren cornfield? What are the odds? And really, I just can't wait for the corn to grow back.
As a solution, I have been picking through my old photos, seeing if anything happens to tickle my creative niblets. I will admit straight off, some of them are from Hawaii, but one must begin somewhere, and I found Hawaii to be painfully inspiring when I was there.
My desire to create was almost torturous, as I only had my camera. So now I hope that in bringing some of these images to the forefront of my mind, perhaps the "burning passion of Hawaii" will return to my creative loins. Which would be great, as long as it doesn't also itch.
Meanwhile I have piles of pillows that I have yet to post and a slew of photos of some of my paintings that I want to share with you. I need to find the motivation to actually post them, which is difficult for me at this particular hour that I have chosen to hop on and post. I work the 12 hour night shift and while sleep should be my priority, sometimes I just can't help myself. When I do finally wake up from my day's slumber, I promise to continue to seek inspiration and actually post something for you lo look at as opposed to my vacation snapshot...as fiery as they may be!
Another way I have been seeking inspiration is through the people who look at my site. Sometimes searches can be very telling as far as what folks are really looking for. I have a tendency to look for bright colors, loud designs, and
a wild pattern. Sometimes the quiet searches for "gold pillow" or "Shamrock" or "Western" can serve as inspiration for new designs. So keep looking. You may be the source of inspiration for your own ideal pillow!

Good night all. Time to crawl into my cave and sleep.
